Barney and Bela are two of the resident labradoodles at Larapinta and have been responsible for the first three litters of exceptional Larapinta Labradoodles.

Barney is a Brisbane boy and he is the result of a mating between a second generation cream labradoodle (dad) and a standard white poodle.  He has a chalk wool coat and doesn’t shed.

Bela is a Sydney girl and she’s from a first generation cream labradoodle (mum) and a standard red poodle. Bela has an apricot fleece coat and doesn’t shed.  They are both called F1B labradoodles which is a stage before producing multigenerational doodles.

Both dogs have outstanding temperaments and display all the attributes of the labradoodle breed - super friendly, gentle, playful and very smart - all temperaments that have been passed on to their offspring report their new owners.

The next litter has just arrived from Pudding, our chocolate girl with a wool coat and also from a labradoodle crossed with a standard poodle.  She was mated with Lucas II from Barney and Bela's second litter.  Lucas has a lovely vanilla fleece coat and lives and belongs to good friends who live only two kilometres away.  Despite the chocolate and cream combination, one or both of them is carring the black labrador gene which can be dominant - in this case it produced 8 out 10 pups that were black, with the other two being chocolate! Unfortunately we lost one of the chocolate girls. 

All the dogs live in ‘paradise’ and enjoy home cooked meals every day - quite spoilt actually!

Professional breeders suggest that various tests need to be done to guarantee the health of the pup you might buy and pass on those costs to you.  We know that both Barney and Bela are very healthy dogs and show no signs of the common problems to be wary of, nor does Pudding and Lucas, at three and two years old respectively.

They live in a loving environment and past pups reflect this. We have no hesitation in saying that Larapinta Labradoodles will reward you for many years to come.

They have graduated puppy school and are going really well.”
